Politicians
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, along with their spouses, First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, are expected to attend, reviving the tradition of former presidential candidates joining the inauguration. Trump, who skipped Biden’s 2021 inauguration, will now welcome several past presidents—Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. Former First Ladies Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush will also attend, though Michelle Obama will not.
Among congressional attendees, several Republican members are expected, but many Democrats, including former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, plan to skip the event.
Tech Executives
Prominent tech figures, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg, will have a visible presence at the ceremony, seated with former presidents, Trump's family, and Cabinet nominees. Musk, a vocal Trump supporter, donated heavily to his campaign and will co-lead a new Department of Government Efficiency.
Bezos, despite his Washington Post withholding endorsement of Harris, and Zuckerberg, who has adjusted Meta’s policies to align more with Trump’s preferences, will also be present. Additionally, TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, facing a potential U.S. ban, will attend, alongside other tech leaders like Sam Altman (OpenAI), Sundar Pichai (Google), Tim Cook (Apple), and Dara Khosrowshahi (Uber). Many of these companies have invested significantly in Trump’s inaugural fund, highlighting their vested interests in his administration’s policies.
Foreign Leaders
Breaking tradition, several foreign heads of state will attend. These include Argentina’s President Javier Milei, Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and leaders from various right-wing parties in Europe. China’s Vice President Han Zheng will represent President Xi Jinping, signaling potential diplomatic engagements. Other attendees include Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, India’s Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Japan’s Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya.
Celebrities and Internet Personalities
The event will also see a mix of celebrities and internet influencers. Notable attendees include Jake and Logan Paul, Theo Von, Bryce Hall, and the Nelk Boys, all of whom have previously engaged with Trump. Celebrities like Caitlyn Jenner, Amber Rose, Dana White, and Megyn Kelly will be present, with Carrie Underwood performing “America The Beautiful.”
Trump’s inauguration promises to be a blend of political, technological, and cultural influences, reflecting a broad spectrum of support and interest.
