'Daredevil: Born Again' Trailer: Matt Murdock and the Kingpin Face Off After a Decade

With Dario Scardapane, known for 'The Punisher,' at the helm, the 18-episode series transitions from its standalone Netflix origins to official MCU canon.

The eagerly awaited trailer for Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again has dropped, offering a glimpse of the intense showdown between Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante played by Charlie Cox, and Wilson Fisk, the menacing Kingpin portrayed by Vincent D’Onofrio. This series marks the return of these iconic characters, now seamlessly woven into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The trailer kicks off with a tense coffee-shop encounter, where Fisk, now the mayor, remarks, “I will admit, it’s not entirely unpleasant seeing you again.” Murdock, undeterred, retorts, “I can’t shake the feeling you’re gaming the system.”

In a bold move, Marvel Studios revamped the series in late 2023 after initial footage fell short of expectations. Dario Scardapane, known for his work on The Punisher, was brought in as the new showrunner to guide the 18-episode series, which has now officially entered MCU canon.

The series features an impressive cast, including Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, and Jon Bernthal, reprising his role as the Punisher. Additional cast members include Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, and Michael Gandolfini.

Executive producers Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and others promise a darker, high-stakes storyline that stays true to the beloved characters.

Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ on March 4.
