Kenny Chesney is bringing his "Old Blue Chair" to Las Vegas.
The country star has announced a 12-show residency at the Sphere Las Vegas in 2025, kicking off in May. "I’m always searching for new ways to deepen the connection No Shoes Nation has with this music," Chesney, 56, shared about the upcoming residency at the 17,600-seat spherical venue. "Their passion and response to these songs show how much they mean to them, and I want to give even more in return."
"When we discussed the possibilities of performing at Sphere, I was immediately on board," he continued. "The idea of 4D technology and perfectly tuned sound elevates the experience, immersing No Shoes Nation in music, visuals, sound, and togetherness."
"This will be a whole new way of rocking the fans, and I can’t wait," Chesney added.
After watching U2's performance at the Sphere, Chesney was "completely captivated" by the venue’s special effects. "With the intensity of our shows, I began imagining all the things we could do," he explained. "Once you see how the show surrounds you, the dreaming starts."
Fans had speculated about the residency after the Sphere's social media shared a video featuring a beach, a blue chair, a guitar, and a cowboy hat—iconic imagery Chesney has used throughout his career.
