Tiger Woods Miscalculates Yardage in TGL Match, Calls It 'Embarrassing'
Tiger Woods had 199 yards to the hole, but his Jupiter Links teammates realized too late that something had gone terribly wrong during Tuesday night's TGL indoor match.
Woods double-checked the distance and was told "99" — a common shorthand among caddies who often drop the first digit when the number seems obvious. However, Woods misinterpreted it.
He pulled out a wedge and hit a solid shot—one that traveled exactly 100 yards.
“You said 99 yards!” 😅

“I heard 99 yards, so I went out there and hit it,” said the 15-time major champion after losing the 13th hole to Cameron Young of New York Golf Club.
Laughing in disbelief, Woods admitted on the ESPN broadcast, “One of the most embarrassing moments in my golfing career just happened. I just screwed up. That was embarrassing.”
His teammates, Kevin Kisner and Tom Kim, collapsed to the floor in laughter.
New York Golf Club never trailed in the match, securing a dominant 10-3 victory.
